A16 - Trontano - Passo del Ragozzale
The route represents one of the historical entrances to Val Grande. It starts from Trontano and passes by the Parpinasca Refuge and Colle di Nava. Then a long half-coast to Alpe Rina and Alpe Menta and then the stone staircase of Ragozzale
Covering 9.3 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 2 hours and 3 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. The trail is officially waymarked as A16, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
This is a Local Walking Network (LWN) trail — a community-level route perfect for exploring the immediate surroundings, popular with locals and visitors alike.
