Avebury Ridgeway Walk

Starting at the heart of the Avebury World Heritage Site, this walk takes you through the remains of the largest stone circle in the world and along the West Kennet Avenue into beautiful, rolling chalk downland.

At 8.5 km, this is a comfortable half-day walk for most hikers. At an average walking pace, plan for roughly 1 hour and 53 minutes.

The route forms a complete loop, returning you to where you started. This makes logistics simple and the outing entirely self-contained.
