Boundary Walk, Hughenden

This 4-mile walk broadly follows the outer boundary of the Hughenden Estate. It allows you to explore beautiful woodland, open parkland, farmland and a rare chalk stream. No stiles, some steep slopes, a short road section & slippery sections when wet.

This 7.0 km route sits in the sweet spot for a half-day outing — long enough to feel rewarding, short enough to leave the afternoon free. Expect around 1 hour and 34 minutes.

The route nearly completes a loop, with start and end points within easy walking distance of each other. Minimal logistics required.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
