C360f Avonhead Gardens

Between McLeans Island and Avonhead Park is NOT signed. The C360 signed portion is from Avonhead Park to Riccarton Bush follows the Avon and is a mix of housing, university and bush.

A 26.1 km long-distance challenge suited to experienced hikers. Most complete it in around 5 hours and 48 minutes.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. The trail is officially waymarked as C360f, so look out for the trail markers along the way.

This is a Local Walking Network (LWN) trail — a community-level route perfect for exploring the immediate surroundings, popular with locals and visitors alike.
