Grand Tour del Lago Maggiore ® - Tappa 9 - Vira Gambarogno (CH) - Ascona (CH)

An 11-stage trek that brings together and connects ancient historical routes, paths and pre-existing trails on the shores and hills surrounding Lake Maggiore, designed by CAI Sezione Verbano Intra. Descriptions are available on the Website.

A 23.4 km long-distance challenge suited to experienced hikers. Most complete it in around 5 hours and 11 minutes.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. The trail is officially waymarked as GTLM, so look out for the trail markers along the way.

This is a Local Walking Network (LWN) trail — a community-level route perfect for exploring the immediate surroundings, popular with locals and visitors alike.
