Greenwich Meridian Trail
A long-distance walk that follows the line of the Prime Meridian. Inaugurated in 2009, to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the Greenwich Meridian.
At 13.1 km, this is a solid full-day hike. At an average walking pace you can expect to complete the route in roughly 2 hours and 55 minutes.
As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Look for the GMT trail markings to stay on the official route.
A Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail weaves through the regional landscape connecting villages, viewpoints, and countryside.
