Hudson River Skywalk

Connecting major Hudson River School artists Thomas Cole and Frederic Church via the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. With sweeping views of the Valley and Mountains, the Skywalk shows off the natural landscapes that inspired Cole and Church’s iconic landscapes.

At 5.0 km, this is a comfortable half-day walk for most hikers. At an average walking pace, plan for roughly 1 hour and 7 minutes.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. The trail is officially waymarked as HRSky, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
