KAS 06

The Byzantine chapels of Kantanos (K1) - This circular route guides the visitors of Kantanos between the Byzantine churches of the area and the natural beauties of the place with a minimum degree of difficulty.

Covering 12.4 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the KAS 06 trail markings to stay on the official route.

Part of the Local Walking Network (LWN), this trail is ideal for exploring the neighbourhood landscape. It is typically well-known to local walkers and offers an authentic sense of place.
