Klickitat Trail #7

The 17.1 mile Klickitat Trail is a major ridgetop trail, extending from Kilborn Creek to Elk Peak. Features include ridgetop views, Castle Butte, Jackpot Lake, St. Michaels Lake, and St. John Lake.

At 22.9 km, this is a challenging full-day or multi-stage hike. At an average pace, the route takes roughly 5 hours and 6 minutes to complete.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Look for the 7 trail markings to stay on the official route.
