Maybrook Trailway - hiking - Putnam Trailway to Hopewell Junction

A paved multi-use trail across Putnam and Dutchess counties in New York State and into Fairfield County, Connecticut. The trail travels west from Brewster through Southeast, Patterson, Pawling, Beekman and East Fishkill to the hamlet of Hopewell Junction

This 38.4 km route is a major undertaking — excellent fitness, reliable navigation, and multi-day planning are required. End-to-end time is roughly 8 hours and 32 minutes.

Laid out as a circular walk, this trail finishes exactly where it begins — no need to arrange transport back or retrace your steps. Follow the MT waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
