Mountains-to-Sea Trail: Segment 10
The Mountains-to-Sea Trail is a developing long distance hiking trail, which connects the Great Smokys to the Outer Banks. The trail is an official unit of the NC State Park System, and it is supported by the Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
This 118.9 km route is a major undertaking — excellent fitness, reliable navigation, and multi-day planning are required. End-to-end time is roughly 26 hours and 25 minutes.
Point-to-point in layout, this trail takes you from A to B across the landscape. Consider your return logistics before heading out. Follow the MST waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
