Otari-Wilton's Bush circular circuit

Otari-Wilton’s Bush is the only botanic garden in New Zealand dedicated solely to native plants. This unique plant sanctuary and forest reserve consists of 100 hectares of native forest and five hectares of plant collections.

This 2.3 km walk is easy-going and within reach of all fitness levels. Most walkers finish in around 31 minutes.

Laid out as a circular walk, this trail finishes exactly where it begins — no need to arrange transport back or retrace your steps. The trail is officially waymarked as OWBcc, so look out for the trail markers along the way.

As a Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail is maintained and waymarked at the regional level. It typically connects towns, villages, and natural highlights across the wider area.
