R01b Bivio R01 sotto Motto di Unchio - Bivio R01 a Pian di Les (Giro del Motto di Unchio)

An easy path from Verbania Unchio, junction R01 under the mule-track of the ascent to Motto di Unchio, leads to Pian di Les where it meets again R01. Halfway through the recently restored Chapel of the Madonna of Fever.

A compact 1.6 km route ideal for a relaxed morning out. At an easy pace, plan for about 21 minutes.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. Follow the R01B waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
