R16 Sacro Monte SS.Trinità di Ghiffa - Pollino

Route between the Sacro Monte SS. Trinità, World Heritage of Humanity, and Pollino: inside broad-leaved woods, Special Nature Reserve, at times steep pass by the Sabbia Rossa Chapel and the Streghe little lake. Views on Lake Maggiore.

This 2.8 km walk is easy-going and within reach of all fitness levels. Most walkers finish in around 38 minutes.

Point-to-point in layout, this trail takes you from A to B across the landscape. Consider your return logistics before heading out. Follow the R16 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
