S04 Bivio S02 S.Bartolomeo in Montibus - Monte Faierone

From the crossroads of S02 between San Bartolomeo in Montibus and Formine, climb to the meadows of L'Agher (Prati d'Agro), a wonderful balcony on Lake Maggiore, and then climb up to the north summit of Monte Faierone via its eastern ridge.

At 3.4 km, this is a short, accessible outing suitable for most fitness levels. Expect to complete it in around 45 minutes at a comfortable pace.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Follow the S04 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
