Tappa 1 - Da Fucecchio a Vinci

Starting from the junction with Via Francigena in Via Ponzano in Fucecchio, proceeds to Cerreto Guidi where you will reach the Medici Villa, then continues to Vinci where you can visit the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum.

Covering 17.6 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 3 hours and 55 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start.

As a Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail is maintained and waymarked at the regional level. It typically connects towns, villages, and natural highlights across the wider area.
