Windermere to Townend walk, Windermere

Follow this walk to Townend, a 17th-century farmhouse in Troutbeck, which provides an insight into the local area. Views of the fells, a church with stained glass windows by Sir E. Burne-Jones & W. Morris. A challenging alternate return option available.

Covering 15.1 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 3 hours and 22 minutes.
