Windmill Hill Walk, Melford Hall

Easy walking along distinct dirt or grassy paths and fields, with a couple of stiles at the end. May be muddy after wet weather, so boots may be required. Special care is needed when crossing the busy A1092 and walking along the B1066.

Covering 6.4 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 26 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
