Da Serracapriola si scende al fiume Fortore, sulla cui sponda destra sorgeva la Taverna di Civitate, stazione doganale dove si pagava il pedaggio per l’attraversamento del fiume. Dalla Taverna, una salita porta a San Paolo di Civitate, fine della tappa

Covering 15.8 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 3 hours and 30 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the CdP24 trail markings to stay on the official route.
