Coast to Coast Walkway (Waitematā to Manukau)
In three stages you walk through landscapes shaped by 600 years of Māori occupation, and through some of our finest natural and built heritage areas offering panoramic views along the way.
Covering 17.4 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 3 hours and 53 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the C2C trail markings to stay on the official route.
A Regional Walking Network (RWN) route, this trail weaves through the regional landscape connecting villages, viewpoints, and countryside.
