Eselsweg

Der Eselsweg ist ein Höhenweg, der fast keine Ortschaften berührt und vermutlich schon seit 2.000 Jahren benutzt wird. Seinen Namen hat er von den Eselskarawanen im Mittelalter, die Salz von Bad Orb nach Miltenberg zur Einschiffung brachten.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Follow the E waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
