Fossil Trail
The trail takes you past a seasonal wetland and eventually descends into a mature hardwood ravine. After crossing a small stream, a rock ledge contains fossils of marine organisms.
At 1.5 km, this is a short, accessible outing suitable for most fitness levels. Expect to complete it in around 20 minutes at a comfortable pace.
Almost circular, this trail brings you back very close to your starting point. A short transfer or brief walk connects the finish to the trailhead.
Part of the Local Walking Network (LWN), this trail is ideal for exploring the neighbourhood landscape. It is typically well-known to local walkers and offers an authentic sense of place.
