Fulking Archaeology Walk, Sussex East
A circular route from The Devil's Dyke pub. An archaeological walk through time, along the glorious contours of the Sussex Downs. On one side is the Weald, with the sea on the other. Downland & field paths, with some stiles. Keep dogs under close control.
At 5.7 km, this is a comfortable half-day walk for most hikers. At an average walking pace, plan for roughly 1 hour and 17 minutes.
As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way.
