Highline Trail #114
The Highline trail traveverses the north side of Mt. Adams within Mt. Adams Wilderness and rises in elevation to nearly 7,800'. The trail features spectacular views of Lyman and Lava Glaciers, as well as panoramic views of the Goat Rocks and Mt. Rainier.
Covering 12.9 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 2 hours and 52 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Follow the 114 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
