Historische Salzstraße / Böhmischer Steig / Preßnitzer Pass Altenburg-Zwickau-Hartenstein-Lößnitz-Schlettau-Preßnitz-Prag

Dieser historische Handelsweg wurde 1118 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt und führte über Altenburg, Zwickau, Wildenfels, Hartenstein, Lößnitz, Grünhain, Zwönitz, Elterlein, Schlettau, Vejprty, Preßnitz, Kadaň und Žatec bis nach Prag.

A 34.7 km long-distance challenge suited to experienced hikers. Most complete it in around 7 hours and 43 minutes.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
