Hudson Valley Greenway Trail (Mahopac to Brewster)

This route begins in Mahopac and follows the Putnam Trailway north winding through wooded areas, past scenic lakes, and through small communities. There are no services on the trail: local businesses can be accessed short distances off the route.

A 13.4 km full-day trail that rewards walkers with a proper day out. Budget roughly 2 hours and 59 minutes at a steady pace.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. The trail is officially waymarked as HVGT, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
