Lime Kiln Trail

📏
7.4 km Distance
1h 51min Est. duration
Moderate Difficulty
Linear Route type

A looped trail to the site of a lime kiln, used until the 1930s. Limestone gravel quarried nearby was burned there to make quicklime. A warming shelter is near the kiln site.

Covering 7.4 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 39 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start.

This is a Local Walking Network (LWN) trail — a community-level route perfect for exploring the immediate surroundings, popular with locals and visitors alike.
