Start in Marsden before climbing up onto the moors for far-reaching views from the tops. Follow Deer Hill conduit, with the option of an added detour to Deer Hill Reservoir, before winding down back to Marsden through Wessenden Valley.
Covering 8.7 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 56 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start.
