Melford Hall to Lavenham Railway Walk, Melford Hall and Lavenham Guildhall

Dasy walk from Long Melford to Lavenham, through woods and open fields, following the route of the old Great Eastern Railway line. You can return to Long Melford by bus, or re-trace your steps if you are able. Can be muddy and waterlogged through SSSI.

This 7.7 km route sits in the sweet spot for a half-day outing — long enough to feel rewarding, short enough to leave the afternoon free. Expect around 1 hour and 43 minutes.
