From Cossogno amidst chestnut on the ancient cobbled mule track to Alpe Rugno, then for the meadows of high pastures and finally the long panoramic ridge that culminates at Pizzo Pernice

Covering 6.2 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 23 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. The trail is officially waymarked as P02, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
