A very rugged 30 mile trail in the BWCA. A trail guide can be found at https://www.boundarywaterstrails.org/powwow-trail-guide/ Volunteers have been hard at work and the trail is once again passible but there are still difficult sections.

Covering 48.4 km, this is a true long-distance trail best approached as a multi-day journey through varied terrain.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start.

This is a Local Walking Network (LWN) trail — a community-level route perfect for exploring the immediate surroundings, popular with locals and visitors alike.
