The Long Mynd and Ratlinghope Walk, Carding Mill Valley
A challenging walk with steep steps, slopes, water crossings, and rocky scrambles. Includes stiles and a farmyards. Wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. May not be suitable in winter and follow any warning signs.
Covering 17.5 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 3 hours and 53 minutes.
This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start.
