The Trans Canada Trail
This is for the Pedestrian Only sections of the TCT. The bicycle sections of the Trans Canada Trail will usually be close by OR on a parallel path.
At 86.6 km, this is a demanding long-distance hike that may be split across multiple days. Experienced hikers typically take around 19 hours and 15 minutes to complete it end-to-end.
The route forms a complete loop, returning you to where you started. This makes logistics simple and the outing entirely self-contained. Look for the TCT walking trail markings to stay on the official route.
The National Walking Network (NWN) designation reflects the importance of this trail at a national level. Expect consistent waymarking and well-maintained path surfaces.
