Via di Linari - tappa 8 - Rigoso - Linari (ruderi)
The Via di Linari is an ancient route of commercial passage and pilgrimage to Rome as an alternative to the Via Francigena on which it was grafted from the city of Fidenza towards Parma to reach Tuscany through the Lagastrello Pass
At 5.5 km, this is a comfortable half-day walk for most hikers. At an average walking pace, plan for roughly 1 hour and 13 minutes.
As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Follow the VL waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.
This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
