A04 - Pontetto - Cappella della Croce

Very long and challenging route with exposed sections, The first part crosses the villages of Montecrestese in the second the mountain pastures that surround Mount Larone, a panoramic stretch halfway up the hillside.

At 14.9 km, this is a solid full-day hike. At an average walking pace you can expect to complete the route in roughly 3 hours and 19 minutes.

As a linear trail, this route has distinct start and end points. Return transport is worth arranging in advance unless you plan to walk back the same way. Follow the A04 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
