Colonel Bob Trail #851

This trail is located within Colonel Bob Wilderness in a setting of dense old-growth conifer forest with lush understory of rain forest vegetation. Panoramic view of Quinault Lake from summit of Colonel Bob.

Covering 10.6 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 2 hours and 22 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Follow the 851 waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
