Hatfield Forest Buttercup Walk, Hatfield Forest
Trail takes you through the best places to see buttercups in May or June. Mostly level ground through grassy plains and woodland paths, some tree routes and gates. Paths can get muddy. Dogs on leads near livestock and around the lake.
A compact 4.0 km route ideal for a relaxed morning out. At an easy pace, plan for about 53 minutes.
This is a circular route that brings you back to your exact starting point — ideal for a self-contained day out without having to organise return transport.
As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
