Hudson Valley Greenway Trail (Hopewell Junction to Poughkeepsie)

An off-road paved trail following the William R Steinhaus Dutchess Rail Trail passing through wooded areas, local parks, and residential communities. It ends at Walkway Over the Hudson, a spectacular historic railroad bridge high above the Hudson River.

This 20.9 km route is a serious undertaking — strong fitness and proper gear are recommended. Expect around 4 hours and 38 minutes at a steady pace.

Point-to-point in layout, this trail takes you from A to B across the landscape. Consider your return logistics before heading out. Look for the HVGT trail markings to stay on the official route.
