Il Cammino del Gran Sasso - Tappa 2

La seconda tappa del Cammino del Gran Sasso ci guida attraverso la scoperta di due splendidi borghi, Castel del Monte (1346 m) e Calascio (1210 m) e ci svela i misteri della Rocca di Calascio (1464 m)

Covering 9.3 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 2 hours and 3 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the CGS2 trail markings to stay on the official route.

Part of the Local Walking Network (LWN), this trail is ideal for exploring the neighbourhood landscape. It is typically well-known to local walkers and offers an authentic sense of place.
