Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail

A 70-mile hiking trail stretching along Laurel Mountain from the Youghiogheny River at Ohiopyle State Park to the Conemaugh Gorge near Johnstown.

This 120.6 km route is a major undertaking — excellent fitness, reliable navigation, and multi-day planning are required. End-to-end time is roughly 26 hours and 49 minutes.

Point-to-point in layout, this trail takes you from A to B across the landscape. Consider your return logistics before heading out. Follow the LHT waymarkers throughout to stay on the official trail line.

This trail forms part of the Regional Walking Network (RWN), linking local communities and natural features across the region. Waymarking is managed at the regional level.
