A 39km off-road walking and cycling route along a former railway line that connects Rathkeale, Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale

A 38.2 km long-distance route for dedicated hikers. Total walking time is approximately 8 hours and 29 minutes.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. The trail is officially waymarked as Greenway, so look out for the trail markers along the way.

This route is part of the National Walking Network (NWN) — a flagship trail maintained to national standards, often following scenic or historically significant corridors.
