Miss James Walk at Hindhead

Take a gentle walk & find out who the Victorian philanthropist Miss James was. This woodland trail is ideal in summer where you can enjoy the cool shade. The route also uses the new Miss James footbridge over the A3. Uneven ground & moderate gradients

This 2.6 km walk is easy-going and within reach of all fitness levels. Most walkers finish in around 35 minutes.

Laid out as a circular walk, this trail finishes exactly where it begins — no need to arrange transport back or retrace your steps.
