Te Araroa - 03 Waikato - d Ngaruawahia to Pukete Road, Hamilton

Ngaruawahia is the home of the Maori King and the magnificent Turangawaewae Marae. At Ngaruawahia two great rivers merge - Waikato and Waipa. These were important canoe routes and later served settlers.

A 11.9 km full-day trail that rewards walkers with a proper day out. Budget roughly 2 hours and 39 minutes at a steady pace.

This is a point-to-point route, running from one location to another. Plan ahead for return transport, or consider reversing the route on your way back. Look for the TA03d trail markings to stay on the official route.
