This trail is an alternative to Trail 5 a little before the finish at Vathy, giving the hiker the option of a higher pass through Mavro Chorio and Aerina before rejoining the main trail.

Covering just 2.8 km, this is a gentle outing perfect for families or beginners. Allow roughly 38 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. The trail is officially waymarked as 5A, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
