A14 - Verigo - Passo di Basagrana

Mixed route initially through woods and village , in the upper part in abandoned alpine pastures and on wide high altitude basins . We are at the gates of the Val Grande in the national park here fauna and flora abound and make special the route itself

Covering 7.8 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. Look for the A14 trail markings to stay on the official route.

Part of the Local Walking Network (LWN), this trail is ideal for exploring the neighbourhood landscape. It is typically well-known to local walkers and offers an authentic sense of place.
