A58 - Mergozzo - Linea Cadorna - Mont'Orfano vetta

The A56 and A58 trails with Mont'Orfano ring, rich in historical points of interest: the granite quarries and military works of the Cadorna Line, and landscaping with 360 views over Lake Maggiore and Orta, and the peaks of the Val Grande to the Mottarone

Covering 5.1 km, this is a satisfying walk that most reasonably fit hikers will complete in about 1 hour and 8 minutes.

This linear trail moves from one end to the other without looping back. A return journey by transport — or retracing the path — is needed to get back to the start. The trail is officially waymarked as A58, so look out for the trail markers along the way.
