Aberglaslyn, Llyn Dinas and Cwm Bychan walk, Eifionydd

Take in Aberglaslyn gorge with the Glaslyn river raging alongside the path. Pass Bedd y Ci (the grave of Prince Llywelyn's faithful hound), Beddgelert village, the placid waters of Llyn Dinas & the old copper mine workings of Sygun and Cwm Bychan.

Covering 15.2 km, this is a substantial hike requiring a reasonable base fitness. Most walkers complete it in about 3 hours and 23 minutes.

With start and finish just a short distance apart, this near-loop trail offers most of the convenience of a circular route with a subtly different final stretch.

Part of the Local Walking Network (LWN), this trail is ideal for exploring the neighbourhood landscape. It is typically well-known to local walkers and offers an authentic sense of place.
