Bridgewater Monument to Pitstone Windmill Circular Walk, Pitstone Windmill

This walk links the Bridgewater Monument and the ancient post mill. Mostly good paths but some steep sections and some paths across ploughed fields. There is also a small amount of walking on busy roads.

A 10.3 km full-day trail that rewards walkers with a proper day out. Budget roughly 2 hours and 17 minutes at a steady pace.

This is a circular route that brings you back to your exact starting point — ideal for a self-contained day out without having to organise return transport.

As a Local Walking Network (LWN) route, this trail has a strong community character. It serves both regular local walkers and visitors discovering the area for the first time.
