El Camí Ral de Barcelona a Vilafranca passava per Sant Boi, Sant Climent, Begues, l'Hospital de Cervelló. També era anomenat Via Mercadera. Era un camí medieval molt transitat. Feia de drecera a la Via Augusta que passava pel Pont del Diable de Martorell.
