Dal convento di San Matteo si torna nuovamente a salire sul Gargano, percorrendo tratti ampiamente panoramici fino a ridiscendere a San Giovanni Rotondo, dove si trova il santuario di padre Pio da Pietrelcina e dove si venera il corpo del Santo.
